A Little Seafood Celebration!

The Husband and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary yesterday. We went out as a family (he and I will go out on our own later on) to Red Lobster. The food was great (seafood, artichoke dip with pico de gala and chips was out of this world!) and we really enjoyed spending time together out as a family (we don't go out to eat very often anymore since it has become so expensive). Before you go to Red Lobster, sign up as a member on their website so you can get a free appetizer or dessert coupon. The above mentioned appetizer we ordered was priced at $8.99. What a deal!

Here are some pics.....

I got flowers and tickets to the Toby Mac/Jeremy Camp/Matthew West concert!

Posing with the lobsters! Notice #2's tiara? Well, #1 told her she was embarrassed that #2 was wearing a crown and she should take it off...so, when she did I decided to teach #1 what is was really like to be embarrassed.....

Yes! I wore the tiara! I also gave a 30-second lecture on being nice to your little sister! Then, I took it off because people were staring at us. Don't worry to all of you who have not parented an adolescent, yet....the face #1 is making will not burn holes into the back of your head, it just looks like it will.

Happy Anniversary, you hunka hunka burnin' love!!!

I love the picture of #1 with you while you're wearing the Tiara! This is a perfect picture of the teenage "look". I think I'll frame it! My daughter is 15 and I sometimes see the same expression on her face. My eldest is 19 now and I know that "this too shall pass." Anyhow, I enjoy your blog and thanks for sharing!

Am I allowed to just totally love you? Your honesty is hilarious, liberating & refreshing. Thank you for being a bold & beautiful blogger! I am always reassured & challenged when I read your thoughts; its like a mid-week sermon from Pastor Dave.

Many happy wishes to you & your man!

Happy Anniversary You Crazy Kids! Love the object lesson of mild embarrassment vs. REAL embarrassment - I have more fun with those lessons than I think my kids actually learn. But the important thing is that I had fun :)
